Franklinton isn’t just where I live — it’s where my life found its second beginning.

My name is M. H. “Griff” Griffith, and I’m running for Town Commissioner because I believe in Franklinton’s future — and I believe in serving the community that gave me a place to heal, grow, and belong.

Raised in a small town in Southern California, I’ve lived a life full of twists, trials, and triumphs. I’ve worn many hats: student, musician, technician, husband, father, mentor, and neighbor. I’ve felt the weight of loss and the strength that rises when we support each other through it. That strength, that spirit, is what brought me to Franklinton — and why I’m committed to helping our town thrive with heart and pride.

Today, I proudly serve on the Franklinton Tree and Bee Committee and the ABC Board. I’m a regular presence at community events and a passionate supporter of local businesses. I’m also a longtime mentor and advocate for STEAM education, helping the next generation find their path forward — just as I was once helped in my darkest days.

Professionally, I’ve spent decades solving complex problems in the technology world, working with companies like Qualcomm and supporting global systems. But no matter where I’ve gone, my focus has remained the same: building connections, lifting others up, and leaving things better than I found them.

If elected as your Town Commissioner, I will work to preserve the close-knit charm that makes Franklinton special while ensuring our growth is thoughtful, inclusive, and community-driven. Whether it’s improving infrastructure, supporting small businesses, or strengthening civic engagement, my promise is simple:

I will serve Franklinton in the way that benefits our community the most.

Because this isn’t just a town. It’s home.

Franklinton holds a special place in my heart — Franklinton is where my story found its second beginning — it’s not just where I live, but where my life truly began again, and it’s why this town means the world to me.

I want to serve Franklinton in whatever way helps our community most, whether serving as a town commissioner, participating on various town committees, or volunteering wherever I am most needed. My goal is simple: to serve Franklinton in the way that benefits our community the most.

Franklinton is special.

Our motto, “Small Town, Home Town, Your Town,” isn’t just a slogan — it’s a way of life. As we continue to grow and thrive, it is vital that we preserve the welcoming, tight-knit spirit that makes our town so special.  I’m committed to helping us grow with heart, with pride, and always with each other in mind.
